The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus has portrayed Daryl Dixon since 2010. This role has consumed his career for many years, and now that the main series is concluded, he has had more time to pursue other roles. In 2025, here are some of the fantastic projects that Reedus is involved in.
Reedus will continue to reprise his role as Daryl Dixon in the spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. This series will premiere its third season on AMC and AMC+ in 2025. The previous two seasons premiered in Sept. so their third could follow this trend. Melissa McBride joined the series in season in a reprisal of her role as Carol Peletier. The upcoming season will move the story from France to Spain.
On June 6, Reedus will star in the John Wick spinoff From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. The film is directed by Len Wiseman and is set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) and John Wick Chapter 4 (2023), starring Keanu Reeves. Anna de Armas leads Ballerina and sees the return of Anjelica Huston, Lance Riddick (in his final on-screen role), Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves to the franchise. Gabriel Byrne and Catalina Sandino Moreno join Reedus as new cast members.
In 2023, Reeves joined Reedus for an episode of his docu-motorcycle travel series Ride with Norman Reedus.
Another upcoming project will see Reedus in a reprisal of his role as Sam Porter Bridge in Kojima Productions video game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Game creator Hideo Kojima will be in attendance at the SXSW panel for the sequel to the original. Reedus' voice and likeness are used in the game, where he plays a courier tasked with delivering supplies across the United States, which has been devastated by a cataclysmic event.
Reedus has also been cast in the third installment of the Boondock Saints series of movies. He, along with Sean Patrick Flannery, will return to portray twin brothers Murphy and Connor MacManus, who believe God sent them to become vigilante killers. According to IMDB: "The vigilante brothers MacManus, now older, are released from prison into a dangerous new world, facing divergent views on how to continue their crusade." Filming for the movie has been reported to begin in March 2025, so it is unlikely to be released in 2025.
In 2024, Reedus was announced as joining the cast of a psychological drama, The Housewife, which is based on a true story. Naomi Watts, Tye Sheridan, and Michael Imperioli also star in the movie that follows a New York Times journalist (Sheridan) investigating the possibility of a Nazi officer living in 1964 Queens. The movie is reported to begin filming in Montreal in May.
