Daryl Dixon fans rejoice! The official release date of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 has been announced in the latest teaser (below). The spinoff will begin its six-episode run on September 7 at 9 p.m. ET.
The third installment of the series will continue to follow the journeys of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and his dearest friend, Carol (Melissa McBride), this time in an adventure in Spain. The first season followed Daryl as he was unceremoniously thrown onto a ship bound for France against his will. The story continued as Daryl set out to find a way home, but along the way, he encountered other survivors in desperate need of his help.
The third season, subtitled The Book of Carol, followed Carol as she learned of Daryl's voyage to France and then set out in search of him. This season featured the long-awaited reunion of the duo as they came against French foes. This season concluded as the pair traveled, via the Chunnel, to England, where the third season will begin.
Below is the latest teaser for Daryl Dixon's S3, captioned "The road home is brutal and the fight to survive is far from over." This season will eventually find Daryl and Carol in Spain as they continue to figure out a way back home. The teaser features many new faces and lots of action. Daryl also mentions the phrase "Bet on hope," which viewers remember well, as it was something Isabelle (Clémence Poésy), Daryl's lost love, told him in the first season.
New images of the upcoming season have been shared by AMC and Deadline (see below). This season will introduce Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay as new regular cast members. Emmy Award-winning actor Stephen Merchant, who was previously announced in October 2024, will appear in the first episode and portray a "very interesting character," as seen in the teasers.
Additional actors for season 3, include Additional cast includes Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín.
David Zable will continue as showrunner for the spinoff and Reedus, McBride, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival and Steve Squillante, executive produce along with Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega from Ánima Stillking.
