Hello, Walking Dead universe Fans! I had the privilege of walking down Morgan Street in Senoia, Georgia, yesterday. What is so special about that? It is the main street that runs through the community of Alexandria featured in The Walking Dead. The permit for the street’s closure expired, and the city opened the gates after almost eight years. The windmill and church are gone, but the subdivision is being rebuilt so the homes can be sold, and it is gorgeous.

It was a bit emotional to walk down the street and realize that filming is finished for our beloved series and that the walls could begin to come down as soon as next week (according to city officials). I will write up a more in-depth article about the experience later. We did talk to a resident named Dave, who requested that fans remember that only Morgan Street is public. The remaining streets and all of the lawns and homes are private property. So, if you visit the community, please respect their privacy.

There are no new episodes this week, but Tales of the Walking Dead is coming in August. We only have three weeks until SDCC, which should bring numerous announcements and other information regarding The Walking Dead universe. This year’s event should be ripe with TWDU news. TWD part 3 trailer and premiere date are expected. We also hope for an official trailer for Tales of TWD and episode titles. Maybe even more casting news for Isle of the Dead.
