When does Fear the Walking Dead season 8 part 2 air on AMC & AMC+?
By Renee Hansen
The development of The Walking Dead spinoffs has greatly expanded the universe. By 2024, there will be at least six spinoffs in TWDU, with more on the way. The first spinoff series, Fear the Walking Dead, has been announced to conclude its story with season 8. Part 1 of this season debuted in May 2023, and the final six episodes premiere in October.
The first part of the final season of Fear TWD focused on PADRE and the departure of long-time character Morgan Jones (Lennie James). During these episodes, he returned to King County, GA, where his story began. He needed closure on the deaths of his wife and son, but just when things appeared to be looking up for Morgan, he lost his most recent love, Grace (Karen David). By the midseason finale, Morgan and his daughter Mo (Zoey Merchant) headed north in search of his old friend Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).
Fans hope they will see a Rick and Morgan reunion, but according to James, that doesn’t sound promising.
Fear the Walking Dead premiere on AMC and AMC+
AMC+ subscribers were disappointed to learn that the most recent spinoff, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, wouldn’t be aired three days earlier as Fear TWD and The Walking Dead: Dead City were earlier in 2023.
What about season 8B of Fear TWD, when does it air?
AMC Network has confirmed that Fear the Walking Dead episodes will be released on AMC and AMC+ on the same day, beginning October 22.
- AMC+ release time begins at 3 a.m. ET.
- AMC airs the new episodes at 9 p.m. ET.
The final episodes will feature Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) as she is reunited with many old friends, including Victor Strand (Colman Domingo).
The series will also bring back Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman), who is hell-bent on finding PADRE. Troy was featured in season 3 of the series and was left for dead by Madison when she bashed him in the head with a hammer and let him float away in the flood waters of Gonzalez Dam.
Don’t miss the last six episodes of Fear the Walking Dead beginning October 22 on AMC and AMC+.
