Actor Norman Reedus has a massive year in 2025 with the release of the John Wick spinoff Ballerina, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and the third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. He has also been cast in a new horror movie, Pendulum, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Phoebe Dynevor.
Walking Dead fans were treated to a new promo for Daryl Dixon during the season 2 opener of The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan as Negan and Maggie. The short promo features narration by Daryl Dixon (Reedus), Melissa McBride as Carol, and Stephen Merchant, who joins the story this season.

The first season of the series followed Daryl and his involuntary journey to France, where he immediately began searching for a way home. He encountered many people, some friends, some foes, and set aside his plans to help others. The second season, subtitled The Book of Carol, followed Carol as she tried to locate her friend and, when she discovered his whereabouts, set off to France to find him. The duo was reunited, a moment that many viewers longed to see.

The new promo teases that the third season, which will take Daryl and Carol to London and then Spain, will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in the fall of 2025. This follows the pattern of the first two seasons, which premiered in September 2023 and 2024.
What is Daryl Dixon season 3 about?
From AMC: Season three tracks Carol and Daryl as they continue their journey towards home and the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.
The previous season ended with Daryl and Carol heading to London via The Chunnel. Here they will meet Merchant's character, that showrunner David Zabel describes as “Stephen Merchant is in the first episode and plays a very interesting character that we come across towards the beginning.”
Soon after the duo will travel onward to Spain where the story takes on the look and feel of a Western and will feature Spanish ruins and a train sequence that EP Steve Squillante says will "blow people away."
Don't miss the next Daryl and Carol adventure in season 3 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon on AMC and AMC+ in fall 2025.
