The Walking Dead universe comprises the main series and seven announced spinoffs, with six that have aired or are scheduled to air in 2024. The seventh spinoff, More Tales of the Walking Dead, was announced in April 2023, and nothing has been mentioned since. Of the six other spinoffs, which ones will air episodes in 2024?
The first series to air in 2024 will be the Rick and Michonne series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which will focus on the couple who have been separated for years. This series brings back Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, who reprise their roles as Rick and Michonne, respectively. Viewers will finally find out the fates of these characters as they have been trying to reunite with each other this whole time.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024. This series also sees the return of Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis and stars Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O'Quinn, and Matthew Jeffers.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol
The second season of the Daryl Dixon series has added the subtitle, The Book of Carol, as Melissa McBride will join the series in the upcoming season. The series began filming the next season soon after the first was completed. Things were put on hold during the strikes until AMC struck a deal with SAG-AFTRA to allow Daryl Dixon to continue production.
The Book of Carol will feature Carol in her quest to locate Daryl as he, still in France, assists his new friends in The Union of Hope movement.
AMC has confirmed that The Book of Carol will premerie in 2024.
