By Renee Hansen
The biggest news in The Walking Dead universe this week is the release of the next spinoff series, Tales of the Walking Dead. If you are an AMC+ subscriber, you have probably watched episode 1, “Evie/Joe,” starring Terry Crews and Olivia Munn. If you are waiting for the AMC premiere that will air Sunday, August 14 at 9 p.m. ET.
The first episode of Tales of the Walking Dead is a great one that introduces some fantastic new characters. Set about one year after the outbreak, the episode features Joe (Crews), a prepper who has been holed up in his bunker and, after a tragedy, decides to head out in search of someone. He crosses paths with a woman named Evie (Munn). The pair couldn’t be more different but take off on a road trip to locate missing loved ones. This adventure leads to soul searching on the parts of both characters.
The second episode will release on AMC+ on August 14 and AMC on August 21.
